1950 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Age 64, of Rochester, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014, while under the care of UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born January 9, 1950, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Loretta A. (Harris) James. Methodist by faith, Joyce worked as a licensed insurance agent for Kennedy-Meeder Insurance, Inc., in Zelienople for over 20 years. Her family saw her as a strong and amazing woman who could achieve anything she set her mind to. Joyce's driving force in life was her commitment to her family, and to her husband, Patrick, who was her world. She enjoyed plant and flower gardening, car cruises and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Joyce loved visiting Walt Disney World and had the opportunity to fulfill one of her final wishes of taking a family trip there in November of 2013. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 44 years, Patrick Nestor, whom she married on March 21, 1970; her children, Julie Polcyn and her husband, Christopher, of Cranberry Township and Kristen Hahn and her husband, David, of Marshall Township; her brother, William James and his wife, Rebecca, of Mars; her sisters, Carol James of Wexford, Susan Politowski and her husband, James, of Wexford, Loretta June Fisher of Wexford; and her four grandchildren, Loie, Lia, Abbey and Will. Joyce's family will welcome friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GLENN - KILDOO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 130 Wisconsin Avenue, Cranberry Township. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 14, 2014, at the Salem United Methodist Church, 350 Manor Road, Wexford, PA 15090, with Rev. Beth Nelson, officiating. (FRIENDS, PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.) She will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.
