On Thursday, May 22, 2014, Agnes Dodds Kinard, age 99. Beloved wife of the late James Pinckney Kinard. Mrs. Kinard is survived by her three children, Allan Dodds Frank, a journalist, his wife, Lilian M. King; and their two daughters, Katharine and Melissa Frank, all from New York City; Michael Robert Frank, a blues musician and owner of Earwig Music Company, his wife, Barbara S. Frank; their son, Bill Mott, his wife, Kristi; and their three children, Jameson, Devon and Brayden, all of Chicago, and by Marilyn Morton (Dodds) Frank, an actress who lives in Evanston, IL. Also surviving are nephews, Robert James Dodds III, Anthony Dodds; nieces, Dana Dodds and Lisa Dodds; and numerous cousins in England. Other survivors include her stepdaughter, Margaret Kinard Peacock and her husband, John Peacock; and Mr. Kinard's six grandchildren, John Peacock, Jr., Margaret Peacock Sowers, James Hicks, Stuart Hicks, Andrew Hicks and Margaret Hicks Eiberger. Friends will be received at JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS, INC., 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street, Pittsburgh, on Tuesday, May 27, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the Homewood Cemetery Chapel, 1599 South Dallas Avenue, Pittsburgh, 15217, a brief Visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, will precede the service. Interment will be private.
