Age 104, born in Rural Valley, Pennsylvania, on May 27, 1910. In her youth, she played piano in her parent's silent movie theatre. She met her husband of 74 years, Orlando "Art" Gravina, and moved to his hometown in Rochester, NY, after their marriage in September of 1940. They moved to Pittsburgh in 1962 and opened a Hallmark card shop in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, which they operated together for many years. Rose was a hair dresser and operated a beauty shop from her home until she was nearly 90 years old. Her infectious smile and sense of humor brought happiness to all who knew her. She was devoted to her four children and would often assist them in delivering newspapers on their routes when any of them were unable to deliver them. Rose and Orlando were the subjects of a number of articles in the Pittsburgh papers chronicling their longevity and wedding anniversaries. Orlando will celebrate his 100th birthday in March. Together, they were two of the oldest residents at The Arbors III at Saint Barnabas. She is survived by her husband, Orlando "Art" Gravina; a son, Thomas J. Gravina (Donna); a daughter, Carol A.
