LAWRENCE W., Sr.
Age 77, of Turtle Creek, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Survived by the love of his life, Judy (Koerber) Hanley for 58 years; loving father of Debbie (Bill Haughey) Law, Pam Pollitt, Larry W. (Terri) Hanley, Jr., and Bryan (Karen) Hanley; dear brother of Alice Hanley-Bonura, and the late Eleanor Hardy and Betty Nixon; brother-in-law of Janet O'Rourke, John (Francis) Koerber, David (Diane) Koerber, Warren Koerber, and Bob (the late Candy) Clark; beloved friend of the family, the late Bill Lee; also survived by nine grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was a brakeman at the Union Railroad for 30 years and a former board of director of the Electric Heights Housing Association. Larry was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his camp, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Friends will be received Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., corner of (118) Shaw and Triboro Avenues, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950), where a Blessing Service will be Wednesday 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
