LEOTA M. (QUIGLEY) ZUNSKI Obituary
ZUNSKI LEOTA M. (QUIGLEY)
Age 79, of Franklin Park, formerly of Moon Township, passed on Monday, July 21, 2014. Born April 16, 1935, in Calumet, OK, daughter of the late Chris and Bessie (Schmidt) Quigley. Beloved wife of 59 years to Robert Zunski; loving mother of Cheryl (Luis) Linares of Murrieta, CA and Robert J. (Penny) Zunski of Franklin Park; grandmother of Rene Carter, Dannielle Mata, Allison Meeks, Molly and Christopher Zunski; great-grandmother of Chloe, Hailey and Kayla Mata; sister of James and Larry Quigley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Roger Quigley of Elkhart, Kansas and Christine DeMenor of Abilene, Texas, and the late Joe Quigley; aunt to several nieces and nephews. Leota was valedictorian of her senior class 1953 at Kingfisher High School, she was an elementary school teacher having taught at DeMille Elementary in Westminster, CA for 21 years and recently at St. Joseph's School in Coraopolis until her retirement for 18 years, and received the Golden Apple Award for teaching excellence. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Leota loved children and teaching and was a wonderful wife, mother and an amazing teacher. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Road. Saturday Prayers of Transfer 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church in Moon Township. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
