Age 67, of Ross Township, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2014. A graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, he went on to pursue several careers and passions in life. Founder/owner of Pittsburgh Staffing, he was active in local government and community organizing. Bruce was a frequent political commentator and host/producer at PCTV21. He was a steadfast learner and educator, recently returning to the classroom to study the arts and to teach writing. Dedicated volunteer and advocate for those in need, he worked in classrooms with special needs children. As a longtime member of the Rivers Club, Bruce developed many endearing friendships with members and staff. Lifelong lover of the great outdoors, he was an avid traveler whose curiosity fueled his passion to create inspirational photography. Bruce was the very best friend, traveling companion, and totally devoted husband of Susan Subosits; caring and supportive father, friend and creative advisor to sons, Justin (Danielle) Krane and Damon (Ece) Krane; cherished brother and truest friend to Babe (Rory) Krane and Mike (Barb) Krane; proud grandfather to Beatrix Joan Krane; uncle to Emily Krane; and true and loving friend to all. He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Krane; and father, Charles Krane. Private arrangements by SIMONS FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of Bruce's life will be announced at a later date. Donations may be made to Entrepreneuring Youth (EU) or the Homeless Children's Education Fund (HCEF).
