GENES JULIA E.
Age 99, of Versailles, formerly of Duquesne, died Aug. 5, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Fabian) Kottan; wife of the late Louis A. Genes, Sr.; she is survived by her daughter, Malvene C. Heyz of Versailles; sons, Louis A. Genes, Jr. of Bentleyville and Frank (Sandy) Genes of West Mifflin; sister, Margaret Oler of West Mifflin; grandchildren, Debbie Myers, Nadine Holzman, Rick Heyz, Melvine Harris, Denise Slater, Darryl Genes, Jay Genes, Lee Genes and Dolly Genes. She was preceded in death by her son, Gene R. Genes; brother, Frank Kottan; and sister, Elizabeth Kiraly; and son-in-law, Richard W. Heyz. Also 14 grandchildren. Julia was a retired supervisor in the main dining room at Kennywood Park where she worked for 40 years, a member of the Free Hungarian Reformed Church in McKeesport, former member of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Duquesne, member of Eastern Star, White Shrine and William Penn Association. Friends received TEICHART-GRACAN FUNERAL HOME, Duquesne, Fri. 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Sat. 10 a.m. at the Free Hungarian Reformed Church in McKeesport with Rev. Dr. Daniel Borsay. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Interment following Hungarian Reformed Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Free Hungarian Reformed Church.
