Age 67, of Plum, on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Beloved father of Robin (Jim) Vowler and his late beloved son, Christopher M. Cray; extremely proud grandpa of Blake and Baron Vowler; son of the late James and Ruth Cray, Sr.; brother of Thomas (Mary) Cray, Ronald Cray, and the late James Cray, Jr. As David entered his 40s, he started to lighten up and and not take himself so seriously. He became known for having a fun sense of humor, when a waitress would ask if he wanted anything he would respond every time "the winning lottery ticket"!, he would tell you a story for the tenth time with the same enthusiasm he did the first time, whether you wanted to hear it or not, Dave never found a pretty lady he didn't want to flirt with, he enjoyed dancing all night, he was an accomplished pilot and enjoyed making Cathy, Christopher, and Robin nauseous with his short flights for breakfast in Latrobe, a 4th degree black belt Master in Tang Soo Do, and served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. Consulted for numerous companies including Digital Equipment Corp. and NASA. Service and interment private. Arrangements entrusted to JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE / PLUM CHAPEL), Monroeville, (412-856-4747).
