WILLIAM E. "BILL" BRADY Jr. Obituary
BRADY
WILLIAM E. "BILL", Jr.
Born July 19, 1934, age 83, of East McKeesport, formerly of North Versailles, passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in McKeesport on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. He joins his beloved wife of 39 years, Theresa "Terri" (Popovic) Brady in Heaven. Bill cared for her so selflessly through her battle with cancer until her death in 2004. Son of the late William, Sr. and Mary (Cooney) Brady, Bill grew up in North Versailles, joined the Army, serving in the Korean War as a tank operator. He worked for North Versailles Township as a young man before beginning his career at Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh. Bill was a no nonsense kind of man, who believed you should never throw away anything that could be repurposed. He always shopped the flea market for the best deals and he donated to every charity that asked. Survived by his loving daughters, Beth Chelosky (Aaron) of Trafford, Mary Jo Chelosky (Timothy) of McKeesport; grandchildren, Amanda and Michael Chelosky; brother-in-law, John (Betty) Draganac; niece, Deborah (Daniel) Pirt; great-niece, Emily Pirt; cousins, Gladys Jacobs, Joan Brady, Cindy (Jim) Kapral, Maureen Brady, Joseph Jurison, Valerie (Dan) Sabo, Luke Sabo; special "adopted family", Michele Rihn and Katrina Andreyo. Preceded in death by his cousins, Joseph (Marge) and Donald Brady, who were more like brothers to him. Family and friends welcome Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 Linden Avenue at Cable, East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
