TOMKO JOHN J.
65, of White Oak, died July 14, 2009, at John J. Kane Regional Center in McKeesport. Born January 16, 1944, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anne (Rohaly) Tomko and the husband of Betty (Lesitz) Tomko. John was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of St. Angela Merici Church. John was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service with over 20 years of service in the McKeesport and White Oak communities. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by daughter, Catherine Tomko Hughes of White Oak; grandson, Christian Tomko; brothers and sister, Joseph Jr. of Minneapolis, MN, Rita Contini of Elizabeth, Regis of Austin, TX, Robert of Montgomery Village, MD and Andrew of Salem, NJ; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at WILLIG FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 220 9Th Ave., McKeesport. The Very Reverend Stephen Chervenak will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, 9:00 a.m., at St. Angela Merici Church in White Oak. Interment will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery.
