89, of Greensburg, on Tuesday June 22, 2010 born September 30, 1920 in Greensburg; son of the late Virgil S. and Margaret (Green) Templeton; retired from Hutchinson and Gunter Industrial Sheet Metal Shop Greensburg; a member of the Greensburg Alliance Church, life member of the Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department. Hose Company 3, Pa State Firemans Association, Westmoreland County Firemans Association, and an avid bowler, served in the Coast Guard during WW II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen (Johnsons) Templeton and brother Virgil S. Templeton; survived by brother Voris Templeton of Greensburg, sister Dorothy L. Learn of Fort Wayne IN, sister-in-law Vareda Love Templeton of Royersford PA, several cousins including Donald L. Green of Pittsburgh and Laughlintown his primary care giver.; nieces Cheryl Learn Sweeney and Nancy Learn Dewitt both of Fort Wayne IN; nephews Thomas Kerr Templeton of MI, Jerry Templeton and Kevin Templeton of Royersford PA, Aleta Amalong Wojtaszek and Thomas Amalong both of Greensburg, William Amalong of Oklahoma City, OK. Friends will be received 3-5 and 7-9 Friday in the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC, 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. D. Roy Dail officiating. Private interment Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a memorial service at 7p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
