Obituary Condolences

Died on June 24, 2010, ninety years and two days after he arrived on this Earth. He was born June 22, 1920, son of the late Mary and John Kerestory. Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lucy (Ruffa) and brothers, Rudy, John, George, Fred, and Herman and sisters, Sue, Mary and Emma. He is survived by his daughters, Lucy (Bruce) Taszarek of Eighty Four, Mary (James Welsch) Kerestory of Churchill, his grandson Eric (Robin) Irwin, his granddaughter Daren (Brandon) Busch and his great-grandchildren Addison and Owen Busch. Larry was an enthusiastic golfer, most proud of his booming tee shots, even if they didn't always go where he intended. He also loved bowling and belonged to several leagues. His varied career embraced farming, steelmaking, food sales, and the construction trades. His enthusiasm for his work and his tireless energy were a source of amazement to those around him. He planted a garden every spring, and waged a constant battle with the local groundhog population over the rights to his vegetables. He will be remembered for his love of his family and life in general. Celebrate his life with his family and friends at WILLIAM F. GROSS FUNERAL HOME, 11735 Frankstown Road (at Rodi Road), Penn Hills, SUNDAY ONLY 2-4, 7-9pm. Funeral Prayers Monday 10:30am, Mass of Christian Burial St. Bartholomew Church 11am.
