Suddenly on Friday, October 15, 2010 at age 81. Husband of the late Mathilda Colbert; father of Dana, Lisa (Earl), Timothy, Demetrius, Melvin, Calvin, and Carolyn; brother of Jack and the late Tom, Drew, Willie, John, Mattie Lee and Lily; also survived by special grandson Fuga; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Visitation on Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in the SAMUEL J. JONES FUNERAL HOME, 2644 Wylie Ave., where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
