SCALERA HON. RALPH F.
Judge Ralph F. Scalera, 80, of Beaver, on January 27, 2011. Born June 28, 1930 in Midland, a graduate of Harvard University, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. He became a partner with Wallover, Barrichman, & Scalera Law Firm before becoming assistant District Attorney for the Western District of PA. He was appointed to the Court of Common Pleas of Beaver County and served as President Judge for four years. In 1970 he was the Republican nominee for Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania and later became a US District Judge, Western District of PA having served until his retirement when he joined the firm of Thorpe, Reed, & Armstrong in Pittsburgh. He was the husband of Janet Roosa Scalera; father of Amy and Cameron Findlay, Minneapolis, MN; brother of Dominic J. and Frances Scalera; two sisters, Lillian Lozzi, Marian Muldoon; grandfather of Alexander and James Findlay. Friends will be received Sunday from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 333 Third St., Beaver. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Church.
