COMITO LYDIA FRANCES
Mrs. Lydia Frances Comito, 83, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at her residence. There are no services scheduled. Mrs. Comito was born on September 8, 1927. A native of North Carolina and raised in Summerfield, she obtained an Associates Degree in her 70's and worked as an assistant at Maury & Associates Law Firm. Mrs. Comito enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Robert James Comito; parents, Charles and Bessie Parrish Shelton; sons, Tom Comito, Ed Comito; granddaughters, Crystal Comito and Kara Comito. Survivors include daughter, Charlotte Gross of Pennsylvania; sons, Robert Comito, Jr. of Julian, Gary Comito of Pennsylvania, Kenneth Comito of Pleasant Garden, Steve Comito of Illinois; sisters, Ellen Hackett and Nancy Oliphant, both of Greensboro; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, at the home of Ken and Melanie. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405. We love you and will miss you. Ken, Melanie, Steph, Kim and all of your family...we are all so sad thinking of what you are all going through at the moment but know that you have so many wonderful memories that will keep you smiling in the days, weeks and months ahead.
