MATTHEW G.
86, of West Deer, formerly of Shaler, passed away on May 5, 2012 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born on April 29, 1926 in Pittsburgh to the late George and Helen Bernadich Sudetic and has resided in West Deer the past 12 years. Mr. Sudetic served in The United States Army as a Military Policeman and also a rifleman. He worked and retired from McCoway-Turley Company as a Core maker for over 25 years. Matthew was a member of St. Victors in Bairdford and a former member of Transfiguration and also was a member of The American Legion. Survivors include daughter, Madalene (John) Kulich of Saratoga, CA; son, James (Joanne) Sudetic of West Deer; daughter, Georjean (Bill) Gunter of East Deer; daughter Dr. Pamela (Jack) Crawford of Franklin, PA; grandchildren Michael and Jennifer Kulich, Jonathan, Joshua and Jesse Sudetic, Jessica and Beth Gunter, and Jessica Crawford; five great-grandchildren; special friend and companion Dolly Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings Steve, Helen, John, Anne, George, Francis and Rose. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 801 Pgh. St. with Funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. Victors at 10 a.m. Wednesday with burial to follow in Christ The Redeemer Cemetery, Ross Twp.
