EDWARD SILVERIO Obituary
EDWARD
Of Turtle Creek, on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, the day after his 88th birthday. Beloved husband of the late Maria (Rossetti) Silverio for 66 years; loving father of Edward (Debra) Silverio of Ohio, Joseph M. (Cheryl) Silverio of Trafford, Rosanna Silverio, and Maria Beth (Ashley Hampton) Silverio, all of Monroeville; dear grandfather of Anthony (Sarah) Silverio, Allison Silverio, Kate (Ernest) Banks, Diana (Zachary) Tankersley, and Mark Silverio; great-grandfather of Delainney, Zachary, Ethan, Lucinda, Luke, Julianna, and Haley; brother of Richard (Shirley) Silverio of Wilkins Twp. Ed was a WWII Army veteran and a retired employee of Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh plant. Ed also was well-known as an expert plasterer and worked independently with his own business, Silverio's Plastering. Ed relished playing cards with his brothers, enjoyed singing his favorite songs and telling jokes. Ed was a member of the 1941 undefeated Turtle Creek High School football team and always enjoyed attending games and watching sports on television. Friends welcome Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, TURTLE CREEK/ MONROEVILLE CHAPEL, 1111 Monroeville Ave. at James St., Turtle Creek 412-823-9350. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Colman Church on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Braddock Catholic Cemetery.

Dear Eddie, Joey, Rosanna and Mary Beth, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad passing away. Although we can never keep our loved ones with us forever, your dad will be reunited with your mother in Heaven. I always called your dad "Mr. Ed" which always brought a smile to his face. My mom and I used to ride him down the hill to work most mornings when they both worked at Westinghouse. I will keep him and your family in my prayers. Rest in peace Mr. Ed.
