Obituary Condolences

Rose Chernuta, 85, of Finleyville, died Thursday, October 11, 2012, in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born September 29, 1927 in Sutersville; a daughter of Joseph and Veronica Peltz Yelich. Mrs. Chernuta was a homemaker and a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union and a past member of the Golden Agers Club in Library. Surviving are three sons, Frank David Chernuta and his wife Jackie of Burgettstown, Mark Chernuta of Trenton, Michigan, and Bob Chernuta and his wife Caroline of Finleyville; two brothers, John Yelich of Bethel Park and Joseph Yelich of Peters Township; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are her husband, Frank Chernuta, who died in 2008, and a sister, Catherine Donatelli. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at KEGEL FUNERAL HOME, INC., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 with Pastor Brent Furlong officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Memorial contributions can be made to GoTime Ministries, P.O. Box 52, Finleyville, PA 15332.
