JACOBS JOSEPH L.B.C.
Age 85, of South Park, formerly of McKeesport, passed away on November 1, 2012. Beloved husband of Norma (Paul) Jacobs for 62 years; devoted and loving father of Owen (Donna) Jacobs, Dale (Diane) Jacobs, and Lynn (Leo) Stepansky; son of the late Joseph and Emily Jacobs; brother of the late Dolores (Gale) Funkhouser; proud grandfather of Lee, Eve and Dean Jacobs, Michael (Kirstian) and Dana Jacobs and Megan, Evan and Jordan Stepansky; and great-grandfather of Claire and Luke Joseph Jacobs and Tavin Stepansky; also survived by one niece, Nancy (Greg) Donaldson. Joe was a veteran of WWII, where he served with the United States Navy. He was a lifelong employee of the G.C. Murphy Company, McKeesport, PA and a lifelong member of Central Presbyterian Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and Elder for many years. Joe was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge No. 583, McKeesport, PA. He was a man of strong faith who will be missed by all who loved him. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Joe's caregivers for their kindness and compassion. Friends will be received on Saturday from 2-6 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the McKeesport Presbyterian Church, formerly Central Presbyterian Church, preceded by one hour of visitation. Private interment at Jefferson Memorial Park.
