Obituary Condolences

Peacefully, on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, of Ingram, age 86. Beloved husband of Thelma (Zook) Brooks; loving father of Patty Ann (Dan Lageman) Brooks and the late Michael D. Brooks, surviving wife, Camille, brother, Robert Brooks; and grandchildren, Jarmon and Keri; also great-granddaughter Emilia Jo. Jerry was a WWII veteran with the US Marines in Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima and a former employee of US Steel for 28 years. He was also noted for his love of playing and teaching chess to children in the surrounding communities. Celebration of Life from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the SCHEPNER - McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Burial will be Saturday in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery at 10 a.m. with full Military Honors (Family and friends are welcome to meet at the funeral home at 9 a.m. to join in procession to cemetery). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the , 100 W. Station Sq. Dr., Landmark Bldg., Suite 1900, Pgh., PA 15219, or the Alzheimers Organization, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E 201, Pgh., PA 15222.
