Age 79, formerly of Brentwood, passed away Nov. 15, 2012 at the Masonic Village in Sewickley. Born in Brentwood, Dec. 20, 1932 to the late William and Anna Mae Matey Colteryahn. He was a 1950 graduate of Brentwood High School (still attended reunions), an Army veteran serving during the Korean War, a lifetime member of the Brentwood Volunteer Fire Co., a member of the John Brashear Lodge F&AM, and was a retired employee of Local Union #5 Contractors. He had also worked for Brentwood Parks Association. Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Lois J. Weber Colteryahn, who passed away in March 27, 2012; loving father of David Colteryahn of Fairfield, OH, Amy Mariano of Moon Township, and Wayne (Missy) Colteryahn of Clinton; proud grandfather of Josh Caupp, Mike and Joey Colteryahn, Nicholas and Daniel Mariano, and Alexandria and Kacie Colteryahn; cherished brother of Wilma Kraus of Brentwood, Norene (Ron) Garrett of Wilmington, NC, and the late LaRue Dressel and Lloyd Colteryahn; devoted brother-in-law to Carol (Bob) Gerlach of Webster, NY. With his wonderful sense of humor, he became a friend to all he met, especially at the Masonic Village. Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 and 5-9 p.m. at the COPELAND MOON TWP. FUNERAL HOME, 981 Brodhead Rd., where a Memorial Service will be held on Wed. at 11 a.m., Pastor Bill Balbach officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full Military Honors at 1 p.m. Members of the John Brashear Lodge #743 F&AM will have a Service on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. for their departed Brother at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations be made to Amy Mariano, c/o Wayne Colteryahn, 1000 Masonic Dr., Sewickley, PA 15143 for the benefit of Daniel Mariano's continuing care.
