90 years old, of Cecil, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Washington Hospital. He was born July 28, 1922 in Cecil, PA, son of the late Louis and Catherine Lambardo Grillo. He was a member of St. Mary Parish, Cecil American Legion, and the UMWA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling, and taking care of his meatball. He worked as a Coal Miner for Vesta #5 in Fredericktown. Surviving are his wife, Betty Turiczek Grillo of Cecil; son, Ernest (Sheila) G. Grillo of Sammamish, WA; three daughters, Catherine (Andrew) Lory of Fairlee, VT, Patricia Fisher of Canonsburg, and Tina (Robert) Hervol of Hickory; five grandchildren, Morgan and Adam Lory, Jason Fisher, Nichole Hervol Nagaya, and Michael Hervol; four great-grandchildren, Van, Gage, and Asher Lory, and Hannah Fisher. He was preceded in death by parents, brothers, William and John Grillo, sisters, Julia Turiczek, Mary Pino, and Carmella Dumann. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 1 at the COLEMAN - TAYLOR FUNERAL SERVICES, 3378 Millers Run Road, (Rt. 50), Cecil, where prayers of transfer will be said on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Christian Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Cecil at 10:00 a.m. with Father Stan Gregorek, officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township where full military rites will be accorded by the VFW 191 and American Legion 902 Honor Guard.
