Obituary Condolences

43, of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away on January 9, 2013 following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Zen Center of Pittsburgh, 124 Willow Ridge Rd., Sewickley, PA 15143. Christina was born on October 8, 1969 in Yonkers, New York. Her parents Armando and Regina (Nicholas) DeLuca predeceased her. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and the University of New Hampshire, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology and Cultural Anthropology. In addition, she earned a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch University New England. Christina was a licensed counselor in the state of New Hampshire in private practice. Residing in Pittsburgh since 1998, she most recently served as a community activist, author and fund-raiser. Christina was the beloved wife of John G. Radzilowicz; and loving mother of John Nicholas Radzilowicz and Anastasya Marie Radzilowicz. She is also survived by a large extended family including brother and sisters-in-law, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many friends and close colleagues. Christina's work continues to inspire cancer survivors, caregivers, and families across the globe. While confronting the challenges of advanced disease, she was pivotal in academic, advocacy and cancer support organizations. Through extensive global networking, she has touched uncountable lives, raised substantial funds for cancer organizations, and most importantly given hope to others in need across the world. She will be immensely missed as her inspiring legacy continues. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Christina's name to the Magee-Womens Foundation, Ovarian Cancer Research, 3339 Ward Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. Christina's family wishes to extend their gratitude to Robert Edwards, MD, Jacqueline Swart, CRNP and staff at the UPMC McGee-Women's and Passavant Hospitals as well as to Revs. Kyoki Roberts and JiSen Coghlan of the Zen Center of Pittsburgh, where Christina was a Lay Initiate, for care and support throughout her illness.
