Nov. 1929 - March 2013. Carolyn Morgan passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Austin, Texas. Carolyn, one of triplet sisters, was born in Pittsburgh to Harry and Margaret Best. She graduated from Munhall High School in 1947. In December 1953, she married Air Force Sergeant Harvey Morgan, of Munhall, at Homestead United Presbyterian Church. She maintained her church membership there until her death. Carolyn and Harvey made their homes and raised three children in Alabama, Japan, Ohio, Virginia, California and then retired in Austin. Her children were fortunate that Carolyn was a stay-at-home mom. After her children were grown, she worked at the Oak Hill Bible Church childcare and helped care for her grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 50 years, Harvey; and her sisters Evelyn Best Cadman and Marilyn Best Fries. She is survived by her brother, David Best (Janet), of Clairton; her children, Debbie Kusey (Doug), Harvey Morgan, II (Linda) and Kenneth Morgan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ellen, Kathleen and Joseph Kusey. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 12 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at HARRELL FUNERAL HOME, 4435 Frontier Trail in Austin. Burial service will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at 1:15 p.m. Memorials may be made to Austin Animal Center, 7201 Levander Loop, Austin, TX 78702.
