Obituary Condolences

Born on March 7, 1922 and died March 31, Easter Sunday. He lived an exemplary life. His beloved wife Mildred of 66 years; son William G. Kearns and his wife Laura; his daughter Kathy Beckman and her husband Gary survive him. Bill was a proud PapPap to his five grandchildren: Gary G. Beckman III, Jenna Beckman Elliott, Kate A. Kearns, William A Kearns III, and Patrick B. Kearns. Bill was such a good man, a blessing and an inspiration to everyone. He touched people's lives forever. He gave us a true guide on how we should live our lives. We are proud and thankful that he was our husband, our father, our grandfather, our in-law and our friend. Bill was the son of William A. Kearns Sr. and Sarah O'Leary Kearns of Wilkinsburg. He was preceded into eternal life by his loving brothers and sisters Charles William, Walter Stanley, Rosemary Balsley, Patricia Egan and survived by siblings Sarah Barbara Leukhardt and John Joseph Kearns. Bill graduated from Wilkinsburg High School in 1941 and proudly served our country in the Army Air Force during World II. He graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in business, entered the management trainee program for Westinghouse and spent his entire, successful career at Westinghouse. The Family will honor his life at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME (806 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, Pa, 15229) on Wednesday, April 3 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. We will celebrate his life with a mass at St. Alexis Roman Catholic Church (10090 Old Perry Highway, Wexford, Pa, 15090) at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 4. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the or the St. Alexis Capital Campaign.
