Obituary Condolences

Age 79, of Leechburg, PA on June 17, 2013 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA. Born October 8, 1933 in Vandergrift, PA to the late Emidio and Argia (DiMenna) Litterio; and brother of the late Leo Litterio. Pilot plant operator for Gulf Oil Corp. in Harmarville for 28 years, also a pilot plant operator for Aristech Chemical Corp. in Monroeville for five years. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War in the 1st Marine Air Wing stationed on Iwakuni Naval Air Station in Japan. Member of Christ The King Parish in Gilpin Township, member of the Shade Tree Commission in Leechburg. Enjoyed reading, watching the History Channel, listening to country music, caring for his dog, Tootsie, working in his yard, visiting and spending time with his children and granddaughter. Also enjoyed working on his computer communicating with his friends. Mr. Letterio was a conservative Republican. Beloved husband of Mary Ann (Bashline) Letterio for 58 years; beloved father of sons, Lance Letterio (Noel) of Oakdale, PA and Larry Letterio (Darlene) of Valencia, PA; daughter, Nancyann Letterio of Franklin Park, PA; and granddaughter, Marian Letterio Emanuelson; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Litterio. Friends welcomed by his family on Thursday, June 20 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at CLAWSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051), where parting prayers of transfer will be held on Friday, June 21 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Christ The King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Township, PA with his pastor, the Rev. Joseph V. Trupkovich, officiating. Interment following in St. Catherine Cemetery, Gilpin Township.
