ARCHER BURREL ANN "BUNNY" FARNSLEY HAGAN
76, of the 1500 block of Commonwealth Avenue, died at her residence on June 19, 2013, with her loving husband by her side. She was a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Jasper F. and Eleanora Farnsley Hagan. She has been a resident of Norfolk for 26 years. Mrs. Archer was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Daughters of the American Revolution, and a past member of the Junior Leagues of Louisville, Pittsburgh, and Norfolk-Virginia Beach. She was a member of the Louisville Spinsters and University of Louisville Chapter of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women. She chaired the Pittsburgh Golden Age Hobby Show, was a board member of the Phipps Conservatory of Pittsburgh and belonged to the Southern Club of Pittsburgh. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, David F. Archer MD, of Norfolk; three daughters, Victoria Leigh Archer Imbrie and her husband Theron of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Stephanie Anne Farnsley Archer Rogan and her husband J. Harvey of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Johanna Suzanne Muir Archer, MD of Louisville, Kentucky; her son, David Fitzgerald Archer, Jr. and his fiancé Shumei Zhao, MD of Vienna, Virginia; and seven grandchildren, Anna May, James and Addison Imbrie and Edward, Sarah, James and Catherine Rogan. Mrs. Archer was supportive of her husband and was a warm, caring compassionate woman loved by family and friends. A memorial service will be held in the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Saturday, 22, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Robert Davenport will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky. The family will receive friends in the Norfolk chapel of H.D.
