Age 68, of Monroeville, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013, with his loving fiancee, Gwen Jones, at his side. He is also survived by his cat, Tyler, who he so dearly loved; beloved adopted son of the late Robert D. and Edna A. (Good) Hopkins; adopted brother of the late Donald and Roberta Hopkins. Doug was a proud Marine serving in the Vietnam War and had an extensive 40-year career in the automobile sales field serving as General Manager of Sales of new and used automobiles for various car dealerships in the Pittsburgh area. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of (445) Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747), where a Service will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Penn Twp.
