On Wednesday, July 17, 2013, Ralph, age 84, passed away at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Ellen (Joyce) Chirico; son of the late Frank and Josephine (Ciucio) Chirico; loving and devoted father of Frank T., Patricia (Lawrence) Reiser, Mary Ellen (Gary) Hedderman, Susan (Robert) Kwiatkowski. Ralph was the cherished-hero of a grandfather to Douglas (Elena) and Gregory Hedderman, Nicholas (Lexi) and Ryan Reiser, Andrew and Courtney Kwiatkowski and great-grandfather of Patrick Reiser. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Marie Benigni, Phyllis Karpin, Genevieve Lentz and his brother, Carmen Chirico. He was the uncle and cousin of so many. Ralph was a Captain of the Pittsburgh Firefighters with 32 years of service. This was a job he loved. Ralph was a Sgt. in the US Army and fought in Korea. He served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Matthew (St .Kieran) Parish. He also was a member of the Society of St. Vincent DePaul. He always said, he was blessed for what he had, and felt the need to help others. He enjoyed playing bocce and bowling with his friends of Morningside and Lawrenceville. He will be missed by so many. Family and friends received at the JOHN F. MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, INC., Butler at 52nd St., Lawrenceville. Visitations Friday, 2-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Raphael Church Saturday, 10 a.m.
