GRACE HENRIETTA "HENNIE" (BALLENGER) FRASCA Obituary
FRASCA GRACE HENRIETTA "HENNIE" (BALLENGER)
Age 74, of Irwin, died at home Tuesday, August 13, 2013. She was born September 17, 1938, in Trafford, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Grace (Painter) Ballenger and was also preceded in death by her husband, E. Elmer Frasca and siblings, Norma Jean Tarris and Richard Painter Ballenger. She was a retired elementary school teacher for the Norwin School District with 30 years' service as a teacher. Hennie was a very creative person and wrote many beautiful writings and poems. She was a "caregiver" helping out many a friend or neighbor, was very family oriented, a wonderful sister and aunt, and was very proud of her hometown of Irwin and its people and happenings. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by a brother, Gilbert Ballenger, Jr. of Louisburg, MO; and a sister, Janice Cheesbrough and her husband, Dean of York; a sister-in-law, Maureen Ballenger of Roseburg, OR; also many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church, 310 Oak St., Irwin, with her pastor, Rev. David S. Lake, officiating. Those attending please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Those wishing may make a contribution in Hennie's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or a contribution to an organization supporting a function or happening in Irwin.
