WILLIAM H. "BILL"
87, of Malta, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2013. Bill was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 21, 1926. He attended Taylor Allerdice High School before leaving to serve in WWII. Bill received his BS and Master of Education from the University of Pittsburgh. He was employed for 27 years as a Social Studies teacher at the Bethel Park Senior High School. Bill was a decorated veteran serving as a B-29 tail gunner in the Army Air Force. He was a past master of Franklin Masonic Lodge # 221 in Pittsburgh, PA. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary; son, Randy (Stacey) Carter and three grandchildren of Clifton Park, NY; brother, George Eldon (Edith) Carter of Pittsburgh, PA; and niece, Jaqueline (Kirk) Blum of Pittsburgh, PA. Bill is predeceased by his siblings, Caroline Ehland, John Carter, Dorothy Rexa, Charlotte Sossman, and Robert Carter. Memorial contributions may be made in Bill's memory to the
