88, of Plantation Estates in Matthews, NC died September 26, 2013. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 20, 1925, the first born son of the late Leroy and Nevada J. (Lowther) Hostetler. He was a graduate of Dormont High School in 1943, and enlisted into the U.S. Navy the same year. He entered the V-12 program in 1944 attending the University of Illinois, Illinois State Normal University, and the University of Notre Dame. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1947. He was married to the late Patricia Ann Palmer, the love of his life, on July 23, 1949 in Mt. Lebanon, PA. Lee and Pat lived with their two sons in Dormont, Bethel Park, Peters Township and Mt. Lebanon, PA as well as Charlotte, NC. Lee was in industrial sales and worked for Allegheny Steel and Cyclops Corporation in Pittsburgh. His later career was with Henley Paper in Gastonia and Charlotte. He was an avid tennis player and golfer. Lee is survived by two sons, Robert Palmer Hostetler, of Potomac, MD and Glen Edward Hostetler of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
