On October 27, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 37, we unexpectedly lost a dear son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend in Kevin Patrick Conley. Fourth son to Thomas Conley and Connie Naples; little brother to Michael (Leah), Brian (Gia), Marnie (Larry Geiger), and Greg; proud uncle to Micah, Grace, Ava, Owen, Vivian, Mikey, and baby Mia on the way; and cousins and their families from near and far. A graduate of Columbia University (1998) and Kiski Preparatory School (1994), Kevin was an avid sports fan playing baseball and football in both high school and university, and always maintaining a fierce loyalty to his hometown teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. A voracious reader, Kevin was a lifelong learner of philosophy, religion, and photography, with a passion for music and the arts in general. This included his affinity for tattoos, much to his parents chagrin, when he got his first one at 20. He leaves behind a family who loved him unconditionally and friends who have shared decades of memories with him - from a wonderful childhood in the Londonbury neighborhood of Moon Township, Pittsburgh, PA to living in New York City during college to his beach days in Florida and California. We know Gigi and Gertie, his loving grandmothers, have welcomed him into their arms to care for him for all eternity. May he be happily enjoying their home cooked meals of roast beef and breaded veal, mashed potatoes, corn, and Mancini's bread, another Pittsburgh favorite. In honor of Kevin's life, to celebrate his bright mind and big heart, a Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 in QUINN-SHALZ FUNERAL HOME, with a gathering immediately following in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Seaside Community Charter School, P.O. Box 330535, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233, c/o Kevin Conley Memorial Fund, in memory of Kevin Conley and his love of art and music. Please visit our online Tribute at www.quinn-shalz.com. Services under the direction and care of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, Jacksonville Beach, FL.
