Age 89, of Crafton, in his 90th year, peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, December 13, 2013. Husband of the late Alice (Knight) Boehm; beloved father of Leonard Boehm, Susan (Marty) Byrd, Christine (Danny) Gallo, George T. (Crystal) Boehm, Thomas (Barbara) Boehm, Nancy (Fran) Mifsud, Mary (Richard) Roscmeier, and Patricia (Scott) Harrell; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and counting; brother of Msgr. James Boehm, Dorothy Ludman, and the late Helen McCosby, Leonard, William, and Jack Boehm; also survived by many nieces and nephews. George was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Navy, a Pitt graduate, former president of Midland of PA, Inc. (Land Title Insurance Company), also an avid golfer, known for his quick wit and a great sense of humor and his appreciation of fine chocolates. Friends received 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday only at the SCHEPNER - McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Philip Catholic Church.
