Thinking of Craig today

Eternal flame for you Craig...you told me being sick but I didn't believe, or just didn't want to believe it. I recall one of our last conversations I listened to you, then I said Please don't die on me Craig!. You knew about my father dying of cancer at 50, and I was about 18. I felt so lost, so abandoned. I am so sorry we didn't get to talk more, and for being so avoiding of the subject. I pray for you peace and pray u hold a place for me in heaven!

I am so sorry to learn of Craig's death.
Craig was so kind, and a lot of fun.
I knew him initially through Pitt faculty kids' summer swim and gym program.
For my 12th birthday, he gave me his friend Keith, who turned out to be a great birthday present!
Craig also advised and convinced me to apply to private high schools, which is how I ended up at Winchester-Thurston. He was absolutely right, it was the best thing I could have done.
My condolences,
Susan

While I have not seen Craig since high school, he holds a special spot in my heart and I will always remember him fondly. My condolences to his family...

Oh man, just learned of Craig's passing tonight. I have so many memories of Craig from the 1970s…spent many nights growing up together, laughing, getting into trouble. He was a good man, always ahead of his years and and often funny. It's been years since we've spoken. To the Onque family, all the best in your healing. Craig will be missed.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Craig once. But, I was a childhood friend of his mother, Gloria, and a high school friend of his father, Earle. Consequently, I feel his loss as deeply as if I had known him personally all his life. May he rest in peace.

Deepest sympathies to Sheri, Brock, and Mr. Onque. Haven't seen a lot of people from Pittsburgh in a long while, but was just looking at some pictures last night of Craig and Sheri when we took a camping trip in the mountains of West Virginia. Craig was a good friend in high school and we enjoyed many great times together, I hope to see you once again on the other side. Rest in peace.

Craig was a big man with a big heart and a big spirit. He will be missed. We had many adventures in high school and for many years after. We spoke recently and he was prepared, reluctantly for this journey as well. Come good home Craig.

To the Onque's one and all,
It is heartbeaking to hear of Craig's passing and then see his handsome smiling face in the wonderful guest book photo of him. Of the countless fun filled times I had with Craig and the family growing up, the memory I most cherish is the yearly ritual of Hope and I coming over to the Onque home on Christmas Eve after we all went to church and opening up a present meant for a family member. On those and so many other occasions, the house was bursting with love and laughter, and that is how I shall always remember Craig.

Dear Dr. Onque, Sheri, Brock and extended family,
Most of us recall the house on Ferree St. as being a fun house. The Onque
children hosting yet another party. Cool father, beautiful mother
and daughter and sons that we all liked. Craig full of personality, always. He is an unforgettable part of many of our lives. It is easy to hear his voice and picture his face.
Regards,
Chris Armstrong

Dear Earle, Sheri, Brock and Lynnell,
I'm heartbroken knowing the world no longer contains Craig. He was charismatic and complicated, and filled with joie de vivre. He loved his family and friends and lived his life to the fullest in his too-short time here. I consider myself blessed to have known him and counted him - and all of you - among my oldest and dearest friends. I will miss him. I wish you all comfort and peace.
Love,
Kyra
