Age 85, of Hampton Township, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at LAS - St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars. Born September 18, 1928 in Valencia, he was the son of the late Lee C.C. and Stella (Welling) McCredie. Lee proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Lee was married to Dorothy (Hanlon) McCredie in 1977 and they lived in Saxonburg. They relocated to Allison Park in 2004. He was a driver/messenger for 38 years at Glenshaw Glass until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of the Parkwood Presbyterian Church. He liked trucks and enjoyed seeing new ones. Lee's greatest loves were his family and playing music. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Hanlon) McCredie, of Hampton Township; three children, Emily Ann (Tarl) Chapman, of Butler, Sandy (Jeff) McCredie Burhans, of Bluffton, SC, David (Karen) Mezurek, of York, PA; granddaughter, McKenzie Chapman; grandson, Riley Chapman; and four additional grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; two sisters, Vera (Charles) Hunt, of Akron and Mildred Kaiser, of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Catherine Virginia McCredie. Lee's family will welcome friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013, at the KING FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, LLC, 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Parkwood United Presbyterian Church, 4289 Mt. Royal Blvd. in Allison Park, with Rev. Jeffrey Potter, officiating. He will be laid to rest in Mount Royal Cemetery in Glenshaw. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Lee's family at:
