Of Martinez, GA, formerly Pittsburgh, PA, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at age 85. A good and fair man. Beloved husband of the late Rose Ellen McMorrow Brennan; survived by loving children, John (Terilynn) Brennan of Massapequa, NY, Daniel Brennan of Martinez, GA, Mary Ann Golshir of Martinez, GA, Ellen (Alan) Farrar of Monroe, WI, and Joseph (Kristina) Brennan of Pittsburgh, PA; beloved grandfather of 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; brother of the late Daniel Brennan and the late Anita Brennan Crum. John was a graduate and Hall of Fame member of St. Vincent Prep School, a graduate of Georgetown University, and a long term executive of 35 years at Koppers Company where he was the Manager of Sales and Marketing Development for the Tar and Wood Products Division. Known to his co-workers as "Mr. Creosote". After retiring from Koppers, he became the Executive Director of the Southern Pressure Treaters Association. John was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church in Augusta, GA and a member of the Patrick Walsh Council #677 Knights of Columbus. John was also a member of the 17th Infantry Association and a proud Army Korean War veteran. Friends will be received at McCABE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOMES, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Sunday, from 2 to 7 p.m., where funeral will commence on Monday at 9 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church at 10 a.m.
