NEIL H.
Neil H. Brown "Uncle Neil", 66, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 12, 2014, due to complications from renal cancer. Neil was born on June 15, 1947, to the late Gilbert Neil Brown and Mary Weilandt Brown. Neil served in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant and distinguished himself as a platoon leader in Co. B, 1st Bn, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division in the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star of Valor and a Silver Star and was recently inducted into the Wall of Valor at the VFW Post 764 McMurray, PA. He was a long time employee serving as a Senior Executive Vice President of AON. Neil was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and a member of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Valley Brook Country Club, the PAA, the American Legion and the VFW. Neil is survived by his loving wife, Anne of 44 years; and three daughters, Allison Brown, Ashley Och (David) and Whitney Brown. He took great pride and joy in his three granddaughters, Lily, Mary and Jane Och. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS, 724-941-3211. Friends welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 15317, Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louise de Marillac Church. Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hillman Cancer Center, 5115 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232. Please add or view tributes at:
