WILLIAM BELL Obituary
Age 81, of the North Side, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Janice E. (Rice); beloved father of Melody Ives, George (Rita) and Brian Bell; proud grandfather of Sophia and Blaise Bell; brother of Charmaine Baust. Bill was a City of Pittsburgh Firefighter for over 30 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a lifelong member of the Pittsburgh Chess Club. Friends will be received on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., 412-364-4444, where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Western Pennsylvania, 3468 Babcock Blvd., Pgh., PA 15237.

I will miss unlcle bill though I didn't know him all that well...I am told though when I was in childrens hospital as baby my great aunt an uncle an family came to visit w me hours on end as a baby I wasn't only when my parents Charlene an Tim were unable to be there I had my great aunt an uncle an there children were their...all though its sad he past on he'll be w my aunt his loving wife

With lots of love I will remember all r family vacation with uncle bill an aunt Janice...an all the summer we drove to Pittsburgh to visit our favorite abut an uncle an our cousins melody georgie an baby bry...my child hood was full of love an memories of uncle bill an our family gatherings
