I met Mr. Hunter in the DHF gym in Denver,NC and we always talked about sports and his coaching career and his family. He always told me to call him HAL,but I had too much respect for him and always thought of him as a "Sir." He was a very dedicated family man,a great story teller, and was true blue and old school in everything he did, including lifting weights even in his 80's. My prayers are with his wife Eileen and family, and to you in heaven,Mr Sir Hal.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Hal. He was an assistant football coach when I was in high school at Avella, PA. He also recruited me to play at Richmond where I obtained a great education in addition to playing football. He was a great guy and always took good care of me at college. Please accept my deepest condolences.
