KRISTA LEIGH
Age 41, of Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 5, 2015. Born April 15, 1973, in Pittsburgh, she was the cherished daughter of William George (Larain May) Imblum of Elyria, OH and Beverly (Ray) Szymanski of Canonsburg, PA; beloved sister of Lori (Bryan) Stopperich; beloved aunt of Brandon and Rylie Stopperich; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; also her two dear cats, Oliver and Punkin. Krista cherished her family and adored spending time with her niece and nephew. Krista had a sweet and kind heart with a passion for animals and helping others. Her smile was infectious. Krista's beautiful spirit and kind heart was shown through her eloquent handwriting. She frequently wrote heartfelt letters of encouragement and advice to those she cared for. She loved changing her style with different current fashions, and each day brought a new look that she loved to share with her family and friends. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., with a Memorial Service to follow at 1 p.m. at CREMATION & FUNERAL CARE, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, with Rev. Gary Chorpenning, officiating. Krista gave her time, talents and love to so many. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, that friends make a kind gesture to someone in her memory. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, Wounded Warrior Project, or a charity of your choice. Please view and sign the family's online guestbook at:

I found out, tonight, now via this site my friend Krista has passed away. I am shocked and deeply saddened. I will cherish all the memories we made together in my heart. This is such a great loss to all who knew Krista. I had the pleasure not only to work with her, but to call her a friend. We shared many great times. Her smile and loving heart would light up a room.
