JOHN SCHNEIDER Obituary
Age 61, of Emsworth, on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Beloved father of Ryan "RJ" Schneider and the late Evan L. Schneider; loving brother of Susann Schneider; son of the late John L., Sr. and Romayne Schneider; also survived by several cousins. John was a letter carrier for over 20 years and was the mailman that all dogs (and cats) loved. Visitation with the family will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1014 California Avenue, Avalon, where a Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of W. PA, 1101 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15233, (412) 321-4625.

John and I graduated in 1972 with his sister and I Mary Elizabeth Morgan Bogner was among one of the graduates. He will be missed!

John was one of my co-workers before I retired in 2005. I always found him to be a gentleman and a pleasure to work with. He was both witty and amiable, and a credit to the letter carrier craft. May he rest in peace. I extend my deepest, most sincere sympathies to his family.

John was a wonderful mailman. I was very sad to hear of his death. He was always friendly and kind. Our dogs looked forward to his treats. He will be missed.

My sympathy to the family. I worked with John and after I retired and walked in Bellevue he would either stop to talk or honk and wave as he passed me heading to his route. A very quiet nice guy. I will miss seeing him on Lincoln Ave as I walk. Eternal rest John.

So very, very sorry for your loss Sue. I have known your brother since Elementary school. I remember your Mom walking him to school, along with Don Fanning and his Mom. As we were all ready to enter the school, John and Don would cry and cry. They did not want to leave their Moms. John had such a kind and loving heart and soul. John was a good friend that I met in Emsworth Elementary in 5th grade and fellow '71 AVHS grad. Great memories of playing Little League with him when his dead coached. I am proud of the fact that he was a tail gunner on a B-52 in Operation Linebacker. Rest in peace. Rob Dunbar
