JAMES STIVANSON Obituary
Age 74, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, of Penn Hills, son of the late Russell L. and Laura Gay Wise Stivanson; husband of Janet Lillich Stivanson; father of Jonathan Allan Stivanson and Jennifer Stivanson Wyatt (Dr. William Wyatt) of Texas; step-grandfather of Christopher Wyatt, Bronwyn Wyatt Higgins and Tony Higgins. Jay was an oboist, choral director, music educator in the Penn Hills, Swissvale and Woodland Hills School Districts. He was the first director of the East Winds Symphonic Band, a Boy Scout Leader, a ham radio operator and instructor, and a computer expert. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 1 p.m. at South Avenue United Methodist Church in Wilkinsburg. Memorial gifts may be made to South Avenue UMC. Arrangements by WOLFE MEMORIAL, INC., Forest Hills Chapel, 412-731-5001.
