In her 87th year, of Peters Twp. and Longboat Key, FL, on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Beloved wife of 63 years to William L. Ward; loving mother of Carol (Art) Buonamano, Joanne (John) Lagola, Cynthia (Paul) Baecher, William (Carol) Ward, and Thomas (Mary) Ward; dear sister of the late Margaret Clinton and Marie Tice; cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Scott) Johnson, Stephen and Brian Buonamano, Kevin, Kathryn and Alison Lagola, Daniel, Emily, David and Lauren Baecher, Elizabeth and Andrew Ward; cherished great-grandmother of Jonathan and Luke Johnson. Florence graduated from Mount Mercy College (Carlow University). While most of her life was spent as a loving mother and homemaker, she also had an 11 year career as the Director of Food Service at John Kane Hospital. Florence was also an avid Bridge player. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome at 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray, 724-941-3211, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 11:30 a.m. in St. Benedict the Abbot Church. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Flo was such a wonderful person with a very positive outlook on life. She was also one of my Mom's best friends and so supportive when my Mom was sick last year.

My heart goes out to Bill and his family. Flo was an extraordinary person. She was always there for both my parents (Earl and Flo Ruggiero). They are all together now - Mom and Flo are probably playing bridge right now.

I will miss her dry and unexpected wit, in addition to her presence at our neighborhood bridge tables. We shared the same name, and enjoyed being across-the-street neighbors. Her passing leaves a void in my life.
