McGRAW-DAVIC
CYNTHIA L.
January 24, 1969-October 5, 2015. Who let the dogs out? Cindy did! Cindy made her way to the rainbow bridge around 3:45 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015, to pick up Roxy, Diesel, Jersey, and Gidget so that they could walk the path to heaven together. She loved on every animal that she came across, even snapping turtles. Cindy's journey to heaven was a peaceful one, as she was surrounded by family loving on her until her last breath. She is survived by her parents, Mary Carolyn McGraw of Port Vue, PA and Robert Michael McGraw (Kathy McGraw) of Myrtle Beach, SC; former husband, Daniel Davic; her furry children, Penny and Bella; sisters, Lisa C. Joseph (Ronald Joseph) of Glassport, Lesley M. Sylvander, Holly M. Turkovic (Anthony G. Turkovic); nieces, Kelsey M. Joseph and Kayla M. Sylvander; nephew and Godson, Christopher M. Joseph; grandmother, Agnes Roberts; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vera and Blair Fowler; and furry children, Roxy and Diesel. Cindy was born on January 24, 1969, in McKeesport, PA. She was a proud graduate of South Allegheny High School, and later went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources from Point Park University. She was a fun loving, generous, brutally honest, and loving daughter, sister, and aunt who excelled at growing the most beautiful gardens, cutting the ham and turkey just right, reenacting scenes from movies, and out singing and dancing everyone. She put her heart into making the best meals for her family, her passion into standing up for all animals, and all her love for her family and friends. Cindy will be remembered through many scents, songs (including Brick House), days at the pool and beach, walks on the trail, concerts, and so much more! Visitation will be held at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, (301 Curry Hollow Road), on Thursday, October 8, 2015, and Friday, October 9, 2015, from 2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., with the funeral service on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 11 a.m. Pastor Hung Suk Joe will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cindy's life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to help them start a fund to build a dog park in honor of Cindy; The Cynthia Lyn McGraw-Davic Memorial Dog Park.

I babysat Cindy and her little sisters when they were kids. Looking back, I really shouldn't have taken the money for babysitting since Cindy was always the one in charge. She was a funny funny kid even back then. When she grew up, I wanted to be like Cindy. She was having way more fun than anybody else. My favorite memory is when she would come over to give me makeovers when she was selling Mary Kay cosmetics. I hated make up because I was so bad at putting it on but she never gave up on me. And when she would pulll up on her Harley - make up in her back pack - looking like she stepped out of a magazine - there was no way I was telling her no. I wanted to look like her! But it wasn't just her looks, it was that killer laugh and no fear spirit that never stopped. She was one of a kind and I was blessed to call her my little cousin! And now an angel in charge of something, I'm sure.

Lesley, Holly and Cindy's entire family, I am so sad to learn that cancer won again, but knowing what a tough girl Cindy is, I'm quite sure she gave it quite a brave fight. I enjoyed working with Cindy at Salvatore's, she was always making me laugh and her love of music and for her four legged loves was constant. The way Cindy was always talking about your family is a sure indicator that it's amazing, I remember one particular time when she said to me that her sisters were her best friends ever, I never had a sister, so ladies I hope the love and memories of fun times shared together bring you comfort during this difficult time.

We will always remember Cindy for her love of animals, her hearty laugh, beautiful smile and friendly spirit. The girls of the Golddigger Bowling league will miss you so much. Our 7 Springs trip will be less one, but we know you will be there with us in spirit. You are getting your wings. We ask you to watch over us, your family and friends that will be so sad with your passing, but happy for you that you are without pain and with your loved ones, who have gone before you. xoxox

Cindy and I bartended together at Salvatore's. For a long time I knew her as a feisty, firecracker, fun-living girl. Then last year when I rescued a dog that ended up with Parvo I got to know the extremely warm compassionate side of Cindy. That combination made her special. Knowing she was sent to heaven surrounded by love lends comfort. Prayers for a special family!
