When someone like Diane passes it leaves an empty space in our hearts. Diane was so loving and giving, always thinking about other, she was a very special person. I think about her often and I am very grateful I had the opportunity to know her and be her friend! Love you Diane!!!!!!

It is a unique awareness when someone like Diane remains on my mind. Again this morning as I see another sunrise and lament on her greatness a time of her compassion and ability to help out fell into my thoughts. In January 1988 the Ashland Oil spill on the three rivers affected wildlife and I asked her for help. Diane borrowed a truck belonging to Reverend Ken Rippen and collected blankets sheets lumber and dawn dishwashing liquid. Her generosity assisted in the rescue of ducks geese and cormorants just name a few. This led to the eventual release of beautiful birds of flight back into the wild as I think of their flight towards the sky I smile and think again of Diane and her blessings to all...

My condolences to the Beatty Family and Diane's second family at Allegheny County 911. I knew Diane from her tireless work with the APCO Institute, selflessly giving of herself to train the current and next generation of public safety communications professionals. Diane would provide anything that was asked of her if she had it. She will be deeply missed amongst not only the above mentioned families but as a key part of our APCO adjunct instructor family. Diane was a great teacher and gifted curriculum builder. It was her drive to elevate public safety communications to the highest possible professional level and she did so at every opportunity. She was a passionate, organized, kind member of our team. I regret not having the chance to see Diane in recent years. The memories and legacy of her completed work will have to carry us. God speed, Diane. Taken way too early.

To the Beatty Family,
Diane was a special
person and had a gift
to enrich other lives in the emergency field. She had a passion to teach others to save lives. I was honored to work with her on a weekly basis for 7 years when I worked at the 9-1-1 center. Although we had not spoken in a while I would always think of her. Diane was never afraid to speak her mind even though she knew others wouldn't agree with her. She was a gem. I still her her laugh and see her smile every once in awhile in my mind. May she rest in peace. Norma Pioth

Diane was such a great person and mentor to so many at the Allegheny County 9-1-1 Center. She had a heart of gold. I am glad I had got to know her and work with her directly for over 7 years while I worked at the center. She wasn't afraid to speak for what she felt was right even though many would disagree with her. I can still see her smile and hear her laugh when I think of her. May God keep you in his tender care and watch over the family that are still here.

Diane was a wonderful person and was loved dearly. A year and a half ago I got married and when our cake fell she helped my husband pick up the pieces. We laughed about it later and I am so happy she was there. Stan and I give our sincere condolences for the family and Bev and her family. We were truly blessed to have known her.

Beatty Family, you are in my thoughts and prayers, your mother was the type of person you could go to with anything and she always gave you the piece of mind that you needed. She was a caring person that was there for all of us at 911 one time or another. She was there for me during a difficult time and she believed in me when I first started at 911. May she rest in peace and watch over all of us

Diane, thank you for being the constant voice of encouragement whenever I thought all was lost. Thank you for being our constant professional and life teacher. There were many days I came into your office in tears and left with a much lighter heart and much-needed advice on how to conquer my obstacles and fears. You were such an integral part of so many lives and you will be greatly missed.

My dearest and longtime friend/sister,
Wherever you were, I was. We shared so many wonderful times the memories will be in my heart forever. I am at a loss for words just now, but know I will be with the 3 kids forever in my lifetime, as we always promised each other we would if this time came. God has provided for us as He promised and I know He took you by His hand and led you home with your mom. Be still and know that I am God. Keep smiling, I am at peace knowing you are at peace. I love you very much. Rest now. XXOO Bev

Every dawn I will look east to the mountains and see our glory. Diane you led me to the place where the sight of Jesus is forever present. From your faith many have grown to know that love and mercy through the spirit God provides then resides.

May the spirit continue to bless and keep your family and friends and ease the pain of loss. We will continue in your footsteps until the time we hold your hand again. So it shall be said our lord.

To all of Diane's family,
You have my very deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved Diane. I have got to know and love Diane the past 32 years through Bev, and she will always hold a special place in my heart. She was a selfless, loving, and strong woman who loved her family unconditionally, and who was a friend to many. She will truly be missed, and although she could not win this last battle, she will forever be remembered as a strong, independent and loving woman. She will always be her children's guardian angel, and is now out of pain and sleeping with the angels. Farewell, sweet Diane..
Rest in Peace,
Mary Jo ("MJ")
