Michael was an amazing cyclist, but a more amazing man! I will miss riding with him. He was passionate about cycling and loved it dearly. A cherished part of what cycling means to all of us is gone, but will never be forgotten. I will miss you Mike, you were a friend and when I am riding this spring and feel a gust of wind go by me, I'll know that its you buddy. May God keep you in his loving grace. My deepest heartfelt condolences to the McDermott family.

Sincerely,

Benjamin Harrison Brown Jr.

Lori and Drew,
May God provide you strength and comfort in this time of grief. There are no words that can sufficiently tell you how sorry I am for your tragic loss. I pray that you will be held tightly in His arms as you travel this unwanted journey; that He will provide you both with His unfailing love and that you will find peace in your time. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Lori, Drew and family,
Mike was a dear friend who I enjoyed many conversations with when I worked in Oak Hill- he made me laugh and I loved his philosophies and posts on Facebook. What a terrific person, my heart aches for your loss. Of course, he shared so many wonderful family stories, I feel like I knew a little part of you. I am thinking of you during this difficult time. Sending love and comfort.

Lori and Drew; Verna, Susan and Verna --
My heart is grieving with all of you. So very sorry that Allen and I won't be with you on Friday as we're "snowbirding" near Charleston SC for the month. Please know that I have such admiration for Mike -- the person he is and the way he's lived his life -- and mourn his sudden death with you. Love and light to each of you; I wish you comfort, especially through your fondest memories of Mike.
