RALPH YOUNG Obituary
On Thursday, April 7, 2016. In his 90th year, Ralph Young has given up his fight and has left us with wonderful memories of a quiet, gentle loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by his family and friends. Ralph was born in Pittsburgh on July 13, 1926. He graduated from Duquesne University and spent 35 years working for Levinson Steel Company as a steel purchaser. He kept his finger on the news and he and his wife spent many years playing golf together. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Merlene Young; two daughters, Carol and Steve Goldman of Philadelphia, PA and Amy and Rob Brodsky of Baltimore, MD. Also survived by grandchildren, Ryan and Michael Goldman and Max and Brett Brodsky; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. Thank you to the caregivers of Charles Morris Nursing Center. Services at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Sunday at 1 p.m. Visitation one hour prior to services 12 noon-1 p.m. Entombment in Beth Shalom Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

It's been many years and I have fond memories of playing on Winterburn Street. Your dad was always so kind and quiet.... Probably because there were too many girls yapping around him. May you take comfort in all of your wonderful memories. Love, Hilary
