DONALD HOWARD
On Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Beloved husband of Susie S. Pettler; father of Laura Pettler (Kevin Kimbrough), Jason Pettler (Kristin), Russell Westerberg (Stacey) and Graham Westerberg (Robin); grandfather of Alexis Pettler, Meredith Bobrek, Joseph and Kaitlin Pettler, Jack and Colin Westerberg and Grace and Mackenzie Westerberg; great- grandfather of Stephen Pettler; son of the late Eugene H. and Sarah Hodgson Pettler; brother of Paul Pettler and Ruth Furman. Donald was born, raised and resided in Beaver, PA for most of his life until moving to Point Breeze in 2003. A Captain in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, Donald was a graduate of Beaver High School (1956), Allegheny College (1960), attended Yale University for graduate studies and retired as a Vice President of PNC after a career of 35 years. Friends will be received at JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS, INC., 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street, freyvogelfuneralhome.com on Sunday 12 noon until 4 p.m. A funeral service and interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be private. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Children's Home of Pittsburgh, Allegheny College or a charity of one's choice.

My sincere condolences goes out to the Pettler Family. I was so sorry to hear about your loss and may all the happy memories comfort you all during this difficult time of sorrow.
I worked for Don at PNC Bank and he was a kind and thoughtful boss and friend. Even though we lost touch over the years, there will always be great memories of him.
Rest in Peace, Don.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. Mr. Pettler was a wonderful man and always made me feel loved and welcomed as if I was his own! One of the most brilliant people I've ever met. Very fond memories! RIP.
