DAVID FIX Obituary
Age 65, of Zelienople, on September 12, 2017. Son of the late Louis and Alma Fix of Shaler Township; brother of Louis K. Fix, Ethel Karen (Fix) and James Nelen, Douglas and Kathy Fix, Robert and Karen Fix, Christopher and Veronica Fix (of Virginia Beach), Daniel Fix, and Ann Michelle (Fix) and Tony Vesci; beloved uncle to Rebecca (Nelen) and Steve Dale, Adam, and Carole Nelen, Jeffrey Fix, Amy Fix, Bryan Fix, Jacquie Fix, Malissa Fix, Morgan Fix, Nathan Fix and Elliott Fix. David will be remembered as an avid sportsman. He enjoyed golf, Steeler football, and fishing at camp in Tionesta. David showed exceptional grace in the face of physical challenges, living life in stride, without complaint. David will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Mt. Royal Cemtery on September 23, 2017. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania or the Ascension Lutheran Church, 8225 Peebles Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. You all have my deepest sympathy in the loss of David. I am a old neighbor on Dewey hill where we all
lived for years and I still do. I do not know whether David was at the block party we had that one year when you all came.

Dear Fix family
Please accept my condolences. You probably don't remember me but Dave and I were friends a long time ago. He was a great guy and always was fun. I have happy memories of the time we spent together. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. May he find peace. Terribly sorry for your loss.

It was always a high point in my life when "the twins," Dave and Doug came to visit! Being one of the smaller kids in the neighborhood you don't have a lot of status so to speak and the two of them happily took me under their wing and made sure I was treated well by the neighbor kids! Dave and Doug added a level of fun that made our quiet house on Goehring Street a really fun place to be and always brought this awesome smile to Gram Fix. She loved all of her grandkids and just lit up when we were all together with her.
I'm hoping that David finds peace and freedom from the physical burdens that he carried and gets to spend some quality time with Aunt Alma, Uncle Lou, Gram and so many others we all miss.

Dear Cousins, We were so sorry to hear that Dave passed away. He was exactly as his obituary says-a strong man that dealt with many physical problems without complaint. There are many happy memories of time spent with all of you in our youth, and our respect for Dave couldn't be greater. You have our deepest sympathy, and our love, always.
